Surgery Cases 016

Description

The patient, wounded in action by enemy machine gun fire near Pontella, Italy, received a perforating wound in his left hand. The 94th Evacuation Hospital staff debrided the hand and applied a Plaster of Paris cast to set the multiple fractures. When the patient was transferred to the 12th General Hospital, his wounds were loosely closed, and a new cast was applied.
