Description

Oil painting of the Montgomery Ward Building. Commissioned by E. R. Squibb and Sons. Artist: Chicago native Robert W. Addison. Accompanying plaque (attached to frame) reads: Presented to Northwestern University Medical School by E. R. Squibb & Sons. Photo of framed painting housed in Galter Health Sciences Library, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. Part of the pharmaceutical firm's long-range plan to create a collection of original oil paintings representative of the medical schools of America. Presented by Mr. George Squibb, Vice-President of E. R. Squibb and Sons to President Miller and Dean Young at a luncheon on September 28, 1965 at the Pearson Hotel.
