Abstract
Over 120 million births were analyzed for the study period from 1983 thru 2012. Overall the births for singleton and multiple births for every week of gestation are occurring relatively earlier in the latter part of the period, 2010-2012 compared to the earlier, 1983-1988. Earlier births were more common in the non-Hispanic blacks, unmarried, teenage or advanced maternal age mother, and pregnancies with maternal risk factors.
